Lazio and Napoli plan exchange deal
Thursday 5 November, 2009

Lazio and Napoli are planning a huge exchange of players in the January transfer window, according to the Italian Press.

Both clubs need reinforcements in the winter but for completely different reasons.

Lazio want fresh faces to get them out of a deep crisis while Napoli are looking for players who can fit into the tactical schemes of new boss Walter Mazzarri.

Claudio Lotito believes he can offload 'dissidents' Goran Pandev and Cristian Ledesma on to Napoli in return for Leandro Rinaudo, Mariano Bogliacino and Juan Zuniga.

Both Pandev and Ledesma are also being linked with Inter, the latter especially, as Lazio are considering swapping him for Sulley Muntari.

Initially, Lazio reportedly offered Napoli Ledesma in exchange for Fabiano Santacroce and Luca Cigarini.

However, it now appears that Aurelio De Laurentiis would be prepared to offer three different players and a sweetener in the way of cash for Lazio's two crown jewels, namely Pandev and Ledesma
