Arrigo Sacchi says Adriano Galliani and Silvio Berlusconi “gave life to Milan” and is “pained” by the sale.
The Coach is a Rossoneri legend, and was appointed by Berlusconi directly from Serie B with Parma.
“I’m sorry, I’m pained almost like Berlusconi and Galliani even though I’ve been outside for a long time,” Sacchi told Sky.
“They are two great directors who - in a sporting sense - gave life to Milan. We who won so much owe it equally to the club, who proved themselves day after day.
“I remember when l’Équipe celebrated my team with a headline like ‘after this Milan, football will never be the same’.
“Berlusconi didn’t just want to win, but to convince and entertain too.”
