Carlo Tavecchio has been confirmed as the commissioner of the Lega Serie A, as the clubs couldn’t agree on a President.
A meeting yesterday resulted in deadlock, as the Serie A clubs cannot agree on the distribution of television money, necessitating the body being placed under temporary administration.
This was the seventh meeting to determine a new President and alter the statutes, but no deal could be found.
Today the federal council of the FIGC has stepped in and unanimously confirmed President Carlo Tavecchio as the new commissioner of the Lega.
Tavecchio will now nominate a jury of experts to reform the statue of the Lega Serie A, and may also nominate two sub-commissioners.
