Emery: ‘Not going to Roma’

Unai Emery denies he has a deal with Roma - “I’m under contract at Paris Saint-Germain for next year”.

After a disappointing first season at Parc des Princes, it was reported earlier today that the Coach could reunite with sporting director Monchi when he joins the Giallorossi.

With Luciano Spalletti out of contract at the end of the season, it was reported that a three-year contract is on the table, but the PSG boss has ruled-out moving to Serie A.

“I am not on the market,” Emery insisted in his Press conference ahead of the Montpellier game.

“I’m under contract at PSG for next year. The President [Nasser Al-Khelaifi] has given me all his confidence in difficult times but also in good times, and it’s up to me to repay that confidence.

“That’s why all the conversations I’ve had with the President have been geared toward maintaining that confidence and this project which we’ve started.

“It’s not true that I’ve signed for another team, because as I’ve said I’m not on the market.

“I’m 100 per cent focused on PSG and on the moments which we have to experience in the League and the semi-final we have to play against Monaco in the Coupe de France on Wednesday.”
