Alvaro Morata is closer than ever to Milan, according to Sky Sport Italia, as the Real Madrid striker rejects Manchester United.

While Chelsea have been heavily linked for a reunion with Antonio Conte, Sky Sport Italia insist the only formal offers that have come in to Real Madrid were from Milan and Manchester United.

They also suggest Jose Mourinho called Morata personally to convince him, but if the Spaniard is to move on, he wants it to be back in Italy.

He was settled in Serie A and his fiancée is Italian, so for a fashion blogger, Milan would be ideal.

The proposal on the table seems to be worth €7.5m per season for a five-year contract.

Real Madrid are asking for a transfer fee of €80m, but the Rossoneri offer so far is €60m.
