As expected, Tottenham Hotspur have announced that Roma activated their option to buy Federico Fazio outright.
The defender had arrived on loan last summer at a cost of €1.2m and they had an option to make the move permanent for another €3.2m.
“We have reached an agreement with @OfficialASRoma for the permanent transfer of @Fede2Fazio. We wish Federico all the best for the future,” read a statement from Spurs.

Fazio had struggled for form since leaving Sevilla in 2014, returning to his old club on loan in January 2016.
He has rediscovered his confidence at Roma and even earned a recall to the Argentina squad.
