The agent of Udinese goalkeeper Orestis Karnezis says his client “would be happy” to sign for Napoli.
With Pepe Reina’s future still unclear, there may be a vacancy between the San Paolo posts, and the Greek international has been touted as possible replacement.
The Zebrette have two promising young ‘keepers in the form of Alex Meret and Simone Scuffet, so could be open to selling their current number .
“Orestis is a starter for the Greek national team and he’s always done well with Udinese,” Claudio Vagheggi pointed out on Radio Crc.
“He has a lot of international experience. Napoli are following him, but so are other big teams.
“He’s already said he’d be happy to wear the blue shirt, and a major opportunity could be carved out if Reina were to leave. He knows he could prove his worth at Napoli in any case.
“I hope there could be a meeting with the Partenopei this week to speed up the negotiation.”
