Napoli midfielder Amadou Diawara targets the Scudetto - “we’re ready to give this gift to the city”.
The Partenopei finished third last season, but were arguably the best side in Italy for the second half of the campaign and the players have made a pact to stay at least one more season for a tilt at the title.
“The Champions League? We want to get there because this city deserves the Champions League,” Diawara said on Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“We have to do everything to play in it again. First of all the Coach [Maurizio Sarri] keeps us entertained, we’re all totally willing in training and we enjoy doing this work.
“The Scudetto? This is a great group, we have to dream and make that an objective. We’re all available to fight for this shirt.
“We’re ready to give this gift to the city, we want to bring them this gift because the city deserves it.”
