“We have made an offer to (Lazio President Claudio) Lotito for Keita and he will now evaluate it. We’ll see what happens,” Marotta told Mediaset Premium.

Keita’s current contract is due to expire in June 2018 and the Senegal international has repeatedly refused to sign a new deal.

He has also been heavily linked with Inter, Milan, Liverpool and Monaco, but seems to want a Serie A stay.

Matuidi will also be a free agent next summer and there are reports this evening of an improved €22m proposal to Paris Saint-Germain.

“He is an option, because we are seeking an experienced player for our midfield,” added Marotta.

The Juventus director also spoke to TMW Radio about Barcelona’s interest in Paulo Dybala.

“We have rejected many offers. When a player is happy to remain at Juve, he stays as long as he wants to.”
