There are mixed reports on Roma’s pursuit of Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez, regarding both the extent of the offer and the asking price.

“We’ve made two offers, the second is fair and then we stopped,” director of sport Monchi declared on Friday.

“There are no percentages, the deal will get over the line or it won’t. Mahrez is one of the options, not the only one. It’s true that this could be the last offer, we’re evaluating other options.”

However, there are different reports coming out of Italian and English sources around the situation.

Sky Sports News in the UK claim Leicester City rejected the latest £27m (€30m) proposal from Roma late Friday night.

At roughly the same time, Sky Sport Italia suggested the offer on the table was worth €35m including bonuses, which would be £31.3m.

Leicester are believed by Italian media to be asking for €40m (£35.8m) from foreign clubs, rising to €50m (£44.7m) if Mahrez is to join another Premier League side, specifically Arsenal.
