Senad Lulic warns Lazio are taking the Italian Super Cup match with Juventus very seriously after a 3-1 friendly win over Bayer Leverkusen.

This encounter is traditionally between the winners of the Coppa Italia and the Serie A Champions, but as Juve won both trophies, they’ll simply replay the Coppa Final from May.

“We are working well, both physically and tactically,” Lulic told Calciomercato.it ahead of the August 13 clash.

“We are working well, both physically and tactically,” Lulic told Calciomercato.it ahead of the August 13 clash.

“It’s good to know that things we try out in training come out during a match situation too. We were able to beat a strong opponent today, we’re happy, and now we have another two games to prepare for the Super Cup.

“As we’ve said since the start of the summer, the match against the Bianconeri is our first objective. We’re working towards it, we are preparing and hope to reach that appointment in the best shape.”

While Juventus have made a lot of changes to their squad, Lazio brought in Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva.

“Luis Alberto is really solid, he never loses the ball, keeps an eye on his teammates and knows how to put in a final pass. It’s good to have more competition in midfield.”
