Roma legend Aldair has urged James Pallotta “to always respect his opponents” and “follow his team more” in light of recent controversy.

Pallotta was forced to apologise for suggesting Milan had lost their minds and that their takeover by a Chinese consortium was financed improperly, and Aldair reminded the President that the Rossoneri “demanded” respect.

“Pallotta? He always needs to respect his opponents: Milan are a good team, they’ve strengthened themselves,” the former Brazil defender told Tuttomercatoweb.

“They’re a team that have won so much and demand respect. On Spalletti and Sabatini, I think there was a management problem between them.

“Pallotta, however, has to follow his team more, be closer to the players and Monchi, giving more confidence to them than anything else.”
