Crotone have officially confirmed the signing of Giovanni Crociata from Milan on a permanent basis.

The 19-year-old is an Italy Under-18 international, and spent last season on loan with Brescia in Serie B.

“Crotone Football Club announces the outright signing of the player Giovanni Crociata from AC Milan,” the Squali announced on their official website.

“Born in Palermo on August 11, 1997, Crociata began playing football at age 6 in Sicily before joining the Milan youth sector in the summer of 2011.

“From there, he started his career with Rossoneri, becoming one of the key men of their Primavera team.

“Last season Milan sent him on loan to Serie B with Brescia to gain experience and Giovanni demonstrated all his talent by putting in some great performances, managing 4 assists and also a goal.

“Good with both feet, Crociata can operate as a central midfielder, a trequartista or even on left of midfield.

“He’s very good at beating his man, has great vision and is a player who makes full use of his great technical ability.

“Crociata has signed a four year contract with Crotone, expiring on June 30, 2021.”
