Lucas Biglia has reportedly been cleared to play for Milan, while there is “optimism” for Leonardo Bonucci.

According to La Repubblica, guarantees for Biglia have arrived via insurance firm Generali and an unnamed foreign bank.

Milan would then be able to register the midfielder for their two-legged, Europa League playoff.

The newspaper notes it should also be a matter of time before Bonucci is given similar clearance.

Reports emerged on Thursday that Banco BPM, one of Milan’s sponsors, had rejected the Rossoneri’s guarantees to access financial bonds, which meant the newly-signed pair could still not be registered to play.
