The Chile international turned 30 on Thursday and his contract is due to expire in June 2018.

He is not part of Coach Luciano Spalletti’s plans and has been linked with a series of clubs, including DC United, Boca Juniors and Tigres.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Medel has given the go-ahead to join Besiktas and worked out personal terms.

However, the Turkish club has not yet made a formal proposal to Inter.
