Fiorentina and Milan have both been given hope for Anderlecht midfielder Leandro Dendoncker as his agent claims he “wants a new challenge”.

Tuttomercatoweb reported on Friday that Fiorentina and Milan were both interested in signing Dendoncker, only to be warned off by Anderlecht, who demanded at least €30m from the two clubs.

However, agent Christophe Henrotay told Foot Mercato: “Anderlecht want to keep him, but the lad wants a new challenge.

However, agent Christophe Henrotay told Foot Mercato: “Anderlecht want to keep him, but the lad wants a new challenge.

“We’ll wait and see if a good understanding can be found with the club, but it seems difficult.”

The 22-year-old is a defensive midfielder and has made over 100 appearances for Anderlecht in three seasons, despite being only 22.

He also has two caps for Belgium and previously represented his country at Under-16, U17, U19 and U21 level.
