Hellas Verona announced they have terminated Juanito Gomez’s contract by mutual consent after seven years. “You will always remain a Gialloblu.”

The 32-year-old joined Verona from Bellaria in January 2010, then had a spell on loan at Gubbio before becoming a stable part of the squad from July 2011.

“Seven and a half years with the Gialloblu, two promotions, 178 appearances, 37 goals and 19 assists only considering Serie A and B,” read the statement on the club website.

“And with the same pride you took part of our history, seeing as from 2010-11 no player has stepped on to the pitch more times than you with this shirt.

“The colours welcomed you, embraced you and you contributed to making them even more luminous. All of Hellas Verona wishes you the best for your future, both personally and professionally.

“You will always remain a Gialloblu.”
