Jose Mourinho feels Italian referee Gianluca Rocchi was to blame for Manchester United’s European Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid.

Rocchi allowed Casemiro’s opening goal in a 2-1 victory for Madrid to stand, despite the midfielder possibly being offside before he slid home, and Mourinho claimed that was the difference between success and failure for his United side.

“I think we did well, I think we lost to one goal which shows the result was really short and one of their goals was an offside,” the former Inter Coach told BT Sport.
