FIGC President Carlo Tavecchio confirms Italy CT Giampiero Ventura has extended his contract – “we have full confidence in him”.
The former Torino Coach replaced Antonio Conte after Euro 2016, and a Press conference was today called with the CT and the Federation chief.
“We’re here to announce the extension of Azzurri CT Giampiero Ventura’s contract until 2020,” Tavecchio announced to the assembled media.
“We have full confidence in him.”

Ventura has won seven of his 10 games in charge so far, drawing with Spain and Germany and losing to France.
His previous deal would have taken him to the end of next summer's World Cup.
