Reports in Spain suggest Juventus are ready to the €40m release clause of Barcelona’s Sergi Roberto.
The 25-year-old is able to play in central midfield and at full-back, and made 47 appearances in all competitions last season.
Now Sport is reporting that the Bianconeri are prepared to pay his release clause, though they face competition from Chelsea and Manchester United.
It’s thought Sergi Roberto wants to stay at Camp Nou, but he’s also keen to play in his natural central midfield role, so he’ll hold a meeting with the Blaugrana hierarchy to discuss where they see his future.
In recent years he’s played at right-back, so he could also be a replacement for Stephan Lichtsteiner, if the Swiss international leaves Turin.
