Paris Saint-Germain outcast Jese Rodriguez opted against Fiorentina in order to join Stoke City, claims La Nazione newspaper.
The Viola had tried to sign the Spaniard on a two-year loan with option to buy and have PSG pay for part of his €7m salary.
However, reports over the last couple of days suggest both player and club were unimpressed with the proposal.
Sportitalia noted that Jese would prefer the Premier League, believing it is better suited to his characteristics.
This morning, La Nazione states that Jese has chosen Stoke City as his next destination after they made a sudden surge forward in negotiations and offered to buy him outright.
He was signed from Real Madrid last summer for €25m, but lasted only six months in Paris before being shipped out on loan to Las Palmas.
