The goalkeeper’s performance in the opening stages in the game really kept Lazio in with a shout, even at such an early stage, with the point-blank range save on Juan Cuadrado astonishing. As the night wore on, he was solid and put in a very good performance.

The goalkeeper’s performance in the opening stages in the game really kept Lazio in with a shout, even at such an early stage, with the point-blank range save on Juan Cuadrado astonishing. As the night wore on, he was solid and put in a very good performance.
Wallace: 6
Nothing spectacular from the Lazio backline, but Wallace didn’t make many mistakes. He did well to keep Juve’s forwards at bay and only looked in danger when the subs came on for the Bianconeri.
Stefan Radu: 6
Much like Wallace, Radu was very solid and didn’t give Gonzalo Higuain or Paulo Dybala a look-in for the majority of the game. In comparison to a usually outstanding Juve defence, Radu and co. looked the much better outfit.
Stefan de Vrij: 6.5
The best of the trio of defenders, De Vrij showed tonight how important he could be to this Lazio side. I said earlier that Higuain didn’t really have any chances, but a large part of that was down to being under the Dutchman’s thumb.
Senad Lulic: 6
It’s sounding like a broken record, but Lulic was good at being steady and did his job very well. Lazio looked a better unit than Juve tonight, with Lulic on the flank being a huge part of that.
Luis Alberto: 5
The former Liverpool man wasn’t the most exciting player tonight, but he did offer a different option on the flank, just like Lulic. Not much to say on the Spaniard, had a rather steady game.
Lucas Leiva: 5
The replacement for Lucas Biglia, this one probably won’t go down as one of Lucas Leiva’s greatest games. He’s played a lot worse before, but we all know he has more in him that what he showed tonight. Went off with cramp.
Marco Parolo: 6
Parolo is slowly becoming a very, very important player for Lazio and his cross for the second goal was absolutely exquisite. The delivery put the ball on a plate for Immobile, who had the simple task of just putting direction on to the ball. The delivery will be the highlight of his game, but Parolo was good tonight.
Dusan Basta: 6
Basta is one of those players who may not be the most extravagant or flashy, but you definitely notice when he’s not playing. Super performance from the Pavel Nedved doppelgänger, but I suspect we will be seeing more of the same from him this season.
Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: 6
Another supremely talented player for Lazio, the Serbian midfielder provided support for both Immobile and the midfield, helping the latter inevitably restricting his chances of going forward. That being said, he did work quite well with Immobile, which could be something to look out for in the future.
Ciro Immobile: 8
The two-goal-hero for Lazio, Immobile was always ready to pounce on the Juve back line, constantly pressuring them into a mistake. His penalty and leaping header just highlighted two of the ways he can score, and potentially on another day he could’ve had another.

Adam Marusic for Basta: 4
Tripped Dybala in stoppages for what could’ve been an extremely costly penalty.
Jordan Lukaku for Lulic: 6
On a day where his brother scored a brace on his Manchester United debut, Jordan Lukaku provided the assist for the Lazio winner with a superb run and pull-back in the last minute.
Alessandro Murgia for Lucas: 7
For a 21-year-old who has come through the youth system at Lazio to score a last-minute winner in the Supercoppa against Juventus, surely that’s worth a decent mark?
