Sampdoria owner Massimo Ferrero claims Roma want Patrik Schick and that the striker “would like to play in the capital”.

Speaking to Pagine Romaniste on Friday, Ferrero maintained Inter were still in the running for Schick with a €35m bid but warned Roma could yet topple them.

“Roma? Yes, they want him,” revealed the President.

“Inter? It’s a case of first-come-first-serve for Schick. An official bid from Roma? They know what to do when they want a player.
