This is their second competitive game of the season after a 4-0 Coppa Italia home humiliation at the hands of Cittadella, but were down to 10 men for 85 minutes because Simone Verdi lashed out an elbow.

“We must forget everything that happened last Saturday and face the Serie A opener in the right way,” said Donadoni in his Press conference.

“The lads must prove that we have learned our lessons, that is the most important thig after errors have been committed. Tomorrow I want to see great determination. We have what it takes to give a response, all together.

“We want to play our part in this Serie A season and have an important role. The right attitude is what makes the difference, far more than any tactical variation.”

Palacio arrived this week, a free agent after his contract with Inter expired.

“He is available for tomorrow, along with all his teammates. Verdi is doing much better and his fitness levels have progressively improved over the last few days.”
