Jeison Murillo is glad the negotiations are finally over and he has completed his move to Valencia, having learned “a great deal” at Inter.
The Colombia international finalised his transfer today, joining on a two-year loan with obligation to buy for a reported total of €13m.
“I want to thank Valencia for the opportunity I have been given. I promise hard work and sacrifice,” said the defender in his Press conference.
“Italian football has taught me a great deal in tactical terms. I am happy to be here. It is a competitive team for the side and complementary to the style of football the Coach wants to play.”
Murillo had been pushing for a move to Valencia for several weeks, but negotiations dragged on.
“It has been a rather complicated week, waiting to find out what was going to happen. The important thing is that I am here now, I will try to settle in as quickly as possible and do what the Coach asks.”
The two clubs haven’t finished doing business, as Joao Cancelo will join Inter in an exchange of loans with Geoffrey Kondogbia going the other way.
“If Kondogbia does arrive, then I would be very happy, because he’s a great friend.”
