Giancarlo Antognoni has accused referee Paolo Tagliavento of “disrespecting” Fiorentina after he failed to award them a penalty against Inter.
Fiorentina were beaten 3-0 by Inter on Sunday, but a controversial incident saw Miranda deemed not to have fouled Simeone in the Nerazzurri’s box by VAR once Tagliavento had consulted the technology.
“I didn’t like Tagliavento’s attitude at all,” the team manager said at the striker’s official unveiling on Monday.
“Inter may well have had a penalty, but the fact that the foul on Giovanni went amiss bothered us.
“It was a disrespectful attitude towards a team going to play their game.
“Fiorentina have a lot of belief in Giovanni. It’s too bad that he didn’t come sooner.”
