“The reason we failed to win against Bologna was evident, but there were positive signs too,” said the Coach in his Press conference.

Their 1-1 draw last weekend was decided by a late incorrectly disallowed Alex Berenguer goal, as the referee blew the whistle to halt play before VAR could be consulted.

“We have improved on our travels compared to last season. The objective is to alternate grit and determination with the right calm to pass the ball around. It’s the only way to improve. There will be a few changes tomorrow.”

Mihajlovic was more distracted by the transfer window and made some interesting statements today.

“I asked the club not to sell Acquah, because he is an important player for us. The offer we received from Birmingham City wasn’t that good. We spoke yesterday and we want to extend his contract.

“Belotti seems relaxed, though unfortunately transfer gossip can influence players. He is well aware that his performance against Bologna was probably the worst since I’ve been at Torino, but I remain convinced he’ll have a great game tomorrow.

“It would’ve been wise to introduce a limit on the release clause, so it couldn’t be activated late in the transfer session, but I am convinced it won’t happen anyway. Il Gallo will stay with us.

“We’re looking for an attacking winger, as I need four players in those roles and we currently only have three, one of whom is injured. I’d also like a defender and a midfielder.”

There have been reports of Antonio Cassano coming to Torino after he terminated his Verona contract within weeks of signing.

“I don’t think so. We were close before, albeit without working together. I admire him as a player and a person. Every team would need someone like Cassano: he has character.”
