Galatasaray have reportedly raised their bid for Juventus wing-back Kwadwo Asamoah to €10m.

The Ghanian international was left out of Massimiliano Allegri’s squad for the weekend win over Genoa, suggesting that a move to Turkey was close.

It’s believed the Bianconeri are very close to signing Benedikt Howedes of Schalke 04, and Corriere dello Sport believes the German’s arrival is key to any deal for Asamoah.

Howedes is capable of playing both at left-back and in the centre, so would provide depth in two positions.

Only then will Juve let Asamoah leave, and the newspaper believes Gala have raised their bid to €10m, a figure which includes bonuses, to get the deal done.

Juventus will wait until tomorrow before deciding on the bid, but that’s simply to ensure that Howedes is arriving.
