Verona have completed the signing of Barcelona’s South Korean youngster Seungwoo Lee.
The 19-year-old was in the Blaugrana’s B team, but has joined the Butei with a buyback clause.
“FC Barcelona and Hellas Verona FC have reached agreement for Seungwoo Lee to join the Italian club,” the Catalan club confirmed on their official website.
“The Korean has passed his medical at the latter and will be presented at his new club on Thursday.
“FC Barcelona has reserved the option to buy the player back after two seasons.
“In the youth team coached by Gabri Garcia, Seungwoo Lee played 30 games last season and scored 10 goals. In the 2015/16 season, he also made his Barça B debut under Gerard López away to Lleida Esportiu.
“The club thanks the player for his professionalism during his time at FCB and wishes him every personal and sporting success in the future.”
The striker has been prolific at youth international level, with 13 goals in 18 games at Under-17 level and seven in 16 for the Under-20s.
