The veteran striker is well-travelled and made the move from Torino to the Dacia Arena on deadline day, with Cyril Thereau going to Fiorentina.
“I am 33 years old, but I have the enthusiasm of a kid,” assured the Argentine in his Press conference.
“I am immediately at the disposal of the Coach with the objective of scoring as many goals as possible. If I don’t reach double figures, it means I cannot stay at Udinese.
“The last year has not been easy, but I am calm. The fans are to be won over every weekend and that is what I want to do. I hope to follow in the footsteps of many high-scoring centre-forwards at Udinese. I can play with two or three in attack, even as a lone centre-forward.
“I looked at the jerseys that were available and chose Number 20, like Oliver Bierhoff. We’ve got everything it takes to have a great season.”
Maxi Lopez is perhaps best known as the ex-husband of Mauro Icardi’s current wife Wanda Nara, which means a lot of time spent in gossip magazines.
“I keep all that to the sidelines. I realised part of my life has been like that, so people talk about me a lot, but I like my privacy, I don’t have social networks and I’m very relaxed.”
