Inter and Milan are ready to do battle on the transfer market again next summer for Bayern Munich midfielder Arturo Vidal.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport, the former Juventus man could be heading back to Serie A.

The Turin-based newspaper suggests Inter had been ready to offer €60m for the Chile international, but had to scale back their transfer strategy when the Chinese Government clamped down on foreign investments.

Vidal was also proposed a contract worth a massive €7.5m per year, which would’ve made him the highest-paid player in the squad.

Tuttosport also maintain that Milan are interested in Vidal and plan to go for him if they qualify for the Champions League next term.

As the 30-year-old’s current deal with Bayern Munich is due to expire in 2019, next summer his price-tag would drop to around €30m.

Vidal had 124 Serie A matches, scoring 35 goals and providing 22 assists.
