Reports in Spain claim Barcelona twice turned down the opportunity to sign Juventus’ Paulo Dybala this summer.

The Argentine signed renewed his contract with the Bianconeri in April, and La Joya has said they are “on the same level” as the Catalans.

Nevertheless, El Chiringuito de Jugones is claiming today that the Blaugrana had the chance to sign Dybala twice this summer, but decided against it.

The first time, the outlet asserts, the Barça directors spoke to Juve general manager Giuseppe Marotta and the forward’s agent.

However, they decided that Dybala was not compatible with Lionel Messi and Phillipe Coutinho, the latter of whom they hoped to sign from Liverpool.

Then, with two days to go in the transfer window they once again rejected the opportunity.

El Chiringuito de Jugones believes Dybala had decided to leave the Old Lady this summer, and was valued at €120m.
