Roma have confirmed that Patrik Schick has suffered a thigh injury, ruling him out of possibly Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid.
Eusebio Di Francesco revealed prior to Roma’s game against Sampdoria on Saturday that Schick would miss the trip to Marassi, and the club’s record signing may also be sidelined for their European opener.

A statement on the Giallorossi’s official website reads: “Patrik Schick underwent tests on Friday afternoon that revealed an oedema [swelling] in his left quadriceps, evidence of a muscle strain that will be evaluated in more detail with further tests over the course of the next 48 hours.”
