Ruud Gullit confirms he is watching Atalanta men Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer for a senior Netherlands call-up.
The assistant manager to Dick Advocaat was thoroughly impressed by 23-year-old Hateboer, who can play at right-back, right wing-back or in central defence.
He already has two goals in eight caps for his country at Under-21 level.
As for 26-year-old midfielder De Roon, he played two senior Dutch games, but was not called up so far this season.

“I am focusing on international players such as Karim Rekik (Hertha Berlin), Memphis Depay (Olympique Lyon), Stefan de Vrij (Lazio) and potential internationals like Marten de Roon and Hans Hateboer of Atalanta,” Gullit wrote in De Telegraaf.
The former Milan and Sampdoria hero criticised the performances of Dutch club sides in the Champions League and Europa League this week, including Vitesse for a 3-2 defeat to Lazio.
It seems Atalanta’s 3-0 thrashing of Everton in the Europa League, which was transmitted free to air on Dutch television, raised the profile of their Dutch contingent.
