Cagliari boss Massimo Rastelli admits his side were deservedly beaten by Chievo this afternoon.
Two second half goals gave Rolando Maran’s team victory in Sardinia and consigned the Rossoblu to their second home loss in the space of four days.
Speaking post-match at the Sardegna Arena, the tactician expressed his belief that tiredness had played a part in his team’s performance and result.
“We didn’t deserve to lose against Sassuolo,” Rastelli began. “But today Chievo deserved their success.
“You could see the tiredness and Chievo have great experience.”
Rastelli praised the impact of Chievo forward Roberto Inglese, whose goal early in the seconf half broke the deadlock between the teams.
“Inglese was excellent and he broke the deadlock in the match. They earned their win.”
