Lazio winger Nani says “I’m waiting for my chance to play”, but assures fans will get to see “the real Nani”
The 31-year-old is yet to make a Serie A start since arriving from Valencia in the summer, but could face Vitesse in the Europa League tomorrow.
“I feel good,” Nani assured in the pre-match Press conference.
“I’m waiting for my chance to play, I’m confident you’ll see the real Nani.
“Can we win the Europa League? We have a great team and are doing well, we can get better game-by-game.
“In the Europa League a lot also depends on the other teams, and we also have Serie A to consider.
“If we have players ready and not injured we can compete with anyone.”Nani played half an hour of the Derby della Capitale defeat to Roma, and was asked for his thoughts on that game.
“I was looking forward to a beautiful game, I’d heard about the match and I was very anxious to play in it.
“We lost, we’re all disappointed and we could have done better. It was balanced in the first half though, Roma weren’t superior.”
