Inter hitman Mauro Icardi has attracted attention from Real Madrid as a replacement for Karim Benzema, according to Marca.
The Argentina international is certainly a name to watch, as he scored 13 goals in 13 Serie A games for Inter so far this season, including a hat-trick in the Derby della Madonnina against Milan.
He’s not new to Spain either, as he grew up in Gran Canaria and played in the Barcelona youth academy before moving to Sampdoria in January 2011.
Icardi is worth at least €100m on the market and it’s reported he has a release clause worth in the region of €110m.
His contract runs to June 2021 and his record at Inter is an impressive 91 goals and 23 assists in 159 competitive matches.
