Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi believes Inter are best equipped to win the Scudetto this season.

Inter sit just two points behind Napoli at the top of Serie A after 10 wins and no defeats in the opening 13 rounds, and Moggi claims the Nerazzurri’s lack of European football and the form of Mauro Icardi make them his tip for the title.

“When football teams don’t have the right parts, even the starters struggle, Hamsik being the example,” he told Radio Crc.

“I see Inter as favourites more so than all the other teams in this League because they’re not in Europe and Spalletti has resurrected this team.

“I think Inter are the team to beat because they have a striker that can always score.”

Moggi also opined that Friday’s showdown between Napoli and Juve would be contested by two sides “not in peak condtion”, although the Partenopei had “something more”.

“Napoli going out of the Champions League wouldn’t be good for their title challenge because the Europa League is even more tiring.

“Juve find themselves in a strange situation because their players that once made a huge contribution haven’t been brilliant this season,” he continued.

“I see two teams, Napoli and Juve, that aren’t in peak condition, but I’m telling you that right now, the Azzurri have something more.”
