Gabriel Barbosa risks disciplinary action at Benfica, as he was reportedly seen in a nightclub where he stayed until 6am on Sunday morning.

The striker is on loan from Inter, but it’s reported that he’ll be sent back the Nerazzurri in January.

According to CM, the Brazilian attended a nightclub on 24 de Julho Avenue on Saturday night, and when he realised he was being photographed he asked the owner to be moved to a more private area.

It’s alleged that the forward, known as Gabigol, didn’t leave until 6am.

Benfica faced Vitoria Setubal yesterday, and while Gabigol wasn’t named in the squad, and it’s not clear if he was actually consuming alcohol, players aren’t allowed nights out unless it’s after a match.

The 21-year-old has played only 26 minutes in the league and Champions League, and has started only one match, in the cup against Olhanense, a game in which he did score the only goal.

That mirrors his time in Italy, in which he never started a Serie A game and scored only one goal after a €32m move from Santos.
