The Bianconeri had already been expected to do without Higuain in the starting XI, as he only underwent surgery to stabilise a fractured finger on Monday.

While Pipita is in the squad, Mandzukic and Benedikt Howedes have been left behind due to muscular problems they sustained in today’s training session.

Cuadrado, Federico Bernardeschi and Giorgio Chiellini are back in the side following their setbacks.

Max Allegri may well be forced to use Dybala as a False 9 leading the trident attack with Douglas Costa and Cuadrado, as there are no centre-forwards at his disposal.

It’d be a 3-4-3 formation focused on pace and countering the Napoli trident of Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne and Jose Callejon.

Napoli’s only absentees are Faouzi Ghoulam and Arkadiusz Milik, but Mario Rui has shaken off an ankle injury and is expected to start at left-back, moving Elseid Hysaj over to the right and Christian Maggio to the bench.

The Juventus squad arrived at the Hotel Parker’s in Naples this evening, their team bus greeted by crowds of jeering fans.

Napoli (probable): Reina; Hysaj, Albiol, Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Allan, Jorginho, Hamsik; Callejon, Mertens, Insigne

Juventus (probable): Buffon; Barzagli, Benatia, Chiellini; De Sciglio, Khedira, Pjanic, Alex Sandro; Cuadrado, Dybala, Douglas Costa
