Gonzalo Higuain scored the decider at the Stadio San Paolo last night, ending the Partenopei’s nine-month unbeaten Serie A run.

“We found the right attitude, which we had been lacking recently,” the defender told Mediaset Premium.

“We blew the title race wide open. We had to send this signal, that we will be here to the bitter end. It was a solid defensive performance and we took advantage of the opportunity to score a goal.”

The result puts Juventus one point behind Napoli, but if Inter beat Chievo on Sunday, then the Nerazzurri will become the new Serie A leaders.

If the Bianconeri had lost, they would’ve fallen seven points adrift of Napoli.
