The Tuscan tactician takes his Nerazzurri side to Turin tonight for a Scudetto showdown, with the opportunity to go five points clear of the champions.

The Beneamata are unbeaten so far this season, and Spalletti guided Roma to a record points total last year before making the move to Milan.

That record-breaking campaign featured a 3-1 win over Juve in May, but overall the Coach has a poor record against the Old Lady.

In 21 previous matches, Spalletti’s sides have lost 17, drawn three and won just one.

His first meeting with the Bianconeri came in the 1997-98 season when an Alessandro Del Piero hat-trick helped Juve to a 5-2 win in Turin.

As well as Empoli, Spalletti faced Juventus with Sampdoria, Venezia and Udinese, without winning any of those matches.

That may be understandable, but the Coach also had a poor record against tonight’s opponents in his time with Roma.

The first encounter was with Fabio Capello’s Juve, and brought a 4-1 defeat at the Olympic despite Lilian Thuram’s red card, a match notable for an incredible goal by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The subsequent matches brought two draws and three defeats, before a match between the two sides at the Olimpico on August 30, 2009.

A double from Diego and a late Felipe Melo goal cancelled out Daniele De Rossi’s strike, and Spalletti resigned after the 3-1 loss.

His second spell in the capital brought two defeats in Turin, before Spalletti finally beat Juve at the end of last season.

Despite his poor record against the Bianconeri though, Spalletti has a balanced record against his opposite number tomorrow, Max Allegri.

The pair have crossed paths seven times in their coaching careers, with three wins each and one draw.
