Words: Ciro Di Brita – @Ciruzzo36
Marco Sportiello – 7
Was alive to most of the danger is his box, made a good stop on to the post from Piotr Zielinski’s effort in the second half.
Vincent Laurini – 6
Had a quiet enough game, was probably glad he didn’t have to face Lorenzo Insigne or Faouzi Ghoulam on Napoli’s left-hand side.
Davide Astori – 6

Marco Sportiello – 7
Was alive to most of the danger is his box, made a good stop on to the post from Piotr Zielinski’s effort in the second half.
Vincent Laurini – 6
Had a quiet enough game, was probably glad he didn’t have to face Lorenzo Insigne or Faouzi Ghoulam on Napoli’s left-hand side.
Davide Astori – 6
Had a torrid time in the first 10 minutes, but rallied and finished the game strong.
German Pezzella- 6
Had a quiet and anonymous afternoon, which is a good sign for a centre-half.
Cristiano Biraghi – 7
Had an excellent game on the Viola’s left side, was up and down, defended well and joined in on the attack when he could.
Marco Benassi – 6
Tested Pepe Reina with a decent effort from the edge of the box in the first half. Was busy and industrious in midfield, never gave Jorginho a moment to settle on the ball.
Milan Badelj – 6
Good solid game from the Croatian international.
Jordan Veretout– 6
Was key to all the decisive moves that his team created.
Federico Chiesa – 7
Tormented the Napoli left side all afternoon, kept Mario Rui at home, which meant Napoli couldn’t get down the flank. Such a smart player for his young age.
Giovanni Simeone – 6
Had a goal chalked off for offside, had a couple of half-chances that he fired straight at Reina. Worked hard and was a nightmare for Raul Albiol and Kalidou Koulibaly to deal with.
Cyril Thereau – 6
Showed off his good close ball control on a few occasions early in the game before fading.
Substitutes:
Carlos Sanchez – 6
Came in to shore up the midfield.
Gil Dias– N/A
Worked hard for the minutes he got.
Bruno Gaspar– N/A
Replaced Laurini for the last 10 minutes.
