Juventus are reportedly monitoring Fabinho, as he admits “all this being equal, this will be my last year at Monaco”.

The midfielder, who can also play at right-back, was on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer, but the deal never went through, ostensibly due to Financial Fair Play.

Juve were also interested in the Brazilian, but they already had Rodrigo Bentancur as a non-EU player, and decided to focus on Douglas Costa for the second.

Juve were also interested in the Brazilian, but they already had Rodrigo Bentancur as a non-EU player, and decided to focus on Douglas Costa for the second.

Now though calciomercato.com and Tuttosport are reporting the Bianconeri could try again in the summer, when the player expects to leave Monaco.

“During the transfer window and even for a month or so after it was difficult,” Fabinho said in a Press conference, as reported by L’Équipe.

“I had to leave, then I didn’t leave… I’m not thinking about it anymore though, the page has been turned. I’m focused on Monaco.

“I know I’m not the Fabinho of the previous season, and that’s what I’m concentrating on: improving, helping the team to play better and winning matches.

“Could I leave in January? I don’t think so, my agent and I haven’t talked about that and I don’t think there’s a chance to leave. I’ve had no contacts and I haven’t asked to leave in January.

“I’m calm at Monaco, and then I couldn’t play in the Champions League with another team.

“All things being equal, this will be my last year at Monaco. Nothing is signed but… [journalist asks if there’s a verbal agreement] yes.

“Atletico Madrid? It’s a possibility yes, but no-one from Atletico Madrid has spoken to me or my agent.

“Right now I’m at Monaco, we’re talking about possibilities for the summer transfer window but a lot of things could still happen and I need to show I can still reach the levels to play for teams like that.

“We’ll talk about it in May.”
