“I see my arrival at Inter as something to be proud of, because it’s a big club with extraordinary tradition and I do not regret choosing the Nerazzurri two years ago. I don’t regret Benfica either, because I can say that I played for massive clubs,” Gabigol told UOL.

“Santos is the club I’ve always supported and loved. I hope to stay here for a long time, even if I cannot rule out going elsewhere, even for one of their rivals in Brazil.”

The forward spent most of his time at Inter on the bench and the situation at Benfica wasn’t much better.

“I’ve been tempted to insult Coaches many times in my career, but I never did. I always avoided conflict, even when I was left on the bench for personal reasons rather than technical ones.

“I won’t name the Coaches and I do not intend on revealing those situations because it’s a delicate matter and one I don’t wish to dwell on.”
