Sweden’s No 2 goalkeeper has advised his country not to call up ‘individualistic’ Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the World Cup. “We qualified without him…”

Ibrahimovic suggested he would come out of retirement to make himself available for the Russian showpiece, but Karl-Johan Johnsson made it clear the former Serie A star was wrong to sound so entitled.

“Of course, the Coach will make a decision on this matter, but it’s also true that we qualified without him,” the Guingamp shot-stopper told Main Opposee.

“We’re a good group, but he’s very individualistic and this would only make things difficult for us, seeing as we’d have to change our system just to accommodate him.

“I’m sure he’d play very well for us, but he’s someone like Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi: all our football would go through him, putting the collective to one side.”
