“We have improved both compared to last season and to the start of the current campaign, because under Luciano Spalletti it has been a constant growth process,” D’Ambrosio told Inter TV.

The match comes just days after a potentially damaging Champions League loss to Tottenham Hotspur.

“It won’t be easy today, but we are targeting a victory. Inter are obliged to win in any arena, whether it’s in Italy or in Europe. We had wanted to win at Wembley too, but now let’s cancel what happened and focus on making up for it tonight.

“Roma are missing some important players, but nobody can be underestimated, especially not Roma. They have very talented young players and if they play for this club, it means they are up to their standard.”
