Mario Balotelli has accused Milan fans of lacking ‘recognition and respect’ for his time spent at the club.
Balotelli took the unusual step of responding to Milan supporters in his Instagram story on Thursday, which also saw him admit the prospect of returning for a third spell was ‘unlikely’.
“It’s still nice to hear from so many Milan fans who wouldn’t like my eventual and rather unlikely return,” wrote the Nice and Italy striker.

“But that’s okay. One day you’re needed and the other you’re not. The important thing is not to have any regrets.
“I don’t have any plans to move right now. I only wrote this to point out the non-recognition and non-respect of a fan base who will always be in my heart.”
