Simone Inzaghi is the hot favourite for the Juventus job and is not giving a Press conference today, while Sinisa Mihajlovic and Maurizio Sarri have also been contacted.

Juve announced Max Allegri’s departure and he will have his final game at the Juventus Stadium this evening against Atalanta.

The race is on to find his successor and it has quickly become apparent that Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane would be very difficult to prise away from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.

The race is on to find his successor and it has quickly become apparent that Pep Guardiola, Mauricio Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane would be very difficult to prise away from Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Real Madrid.

Sarri is believed to be on his way out at Chelsea anyway, although he might resist a move to Napoli’s bitter Turin rivals.

Multiple sources in Italy now state Inzaghi is the favourite and he will surprisingly not hold a Press conference ahead of Lazio’s Serie A match against Bologna tomorrow.

It’s an intriguing twist that further points to Inzaghi and Lazio not wanting to answer questions on the Juve links.

He did comment after beating Atalanta 2-0 in the Coppa Italia Final on Wednesday that his future was not to be “taken for granted” and complained he “expected to be better protected” by his club during difficult times.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, among others, Juventus directors Fabio Paratici and Pavel Nedved have contacted several tacticians to ask about their availability.

They include Inzaghi, Sarri and Bologna Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, although the latter is more of an outsider in this particular race.

Il Messaggero newspaper claims Inzaghi has not decided yet whether to leave Lazio and will ask for a stronger squad in order to truly compete for a place in the Champions League.

Most sources now rule out Antonio Conte, as he seems committed to joining Inter.
