Roma have reportedly reached a deal for Corinthians creative midfielder Mateus Vital, on loan with €8-10m option to buy.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the two clubs have agreed basic terms and the 21-year-old has given his all-clear to the transfer.

It would be a loan with option to buy at the end of the season.

However, the Brazilians want it to become an obligation to purchase, so they are still whittling down the details.

Vital is ready to sign a five-year contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

He came up through the Vasco da Gama youth academy, joining Corinthians in January 2018.

So far this season, Vital has made 16 appearances for Corinthians between Serie A and the Copa Sudamericana, contributing one goal and one assist.
